Atherosclerosis Reduction With Omega 3 Fish Oil

Atherosclerosis is a build up of fats and cholesterol on the lining of arteries. This build up is called plaque. This build up of plaque is a risk for coronary artery disease and much more. More and more studies are proving that omega 3 fatty acids are beneficial at reducing atherosclerotic plaque build up on artery walls.  Reduction in atherosclerosis is beneficial at reducing some of the potentially life threatening events that can occur when this plaque is abundant on blood vessel walls.  Epidemiological studies have concluded that populations that consume fish high in omega 3 fatty acids or more omega 3 fish oil have less coronary artery disease. Atherosclerosis is associated with chronic inflammation in the blood vessel walls.  New studies suggest that omega 3 has the ability to reduce inflammation in the blood vessel walls and may prove to be valuable at reducing coronary artery disease. Doctors that are knowledgeable in the latest research on omega 3 fish oil are recommending rTG form omega 3 fish oil high in both EPA and DHA instead of EE omega 3 fish oil. The rTG Omega 3 tends to absorb better than the EE omega 3 and may get better results with lower dosage.  A good rTG form Omega 3 fish oil like Fortifeye Super Omega or Fortifeye Super Omega-3 Max should be considered as an addition to everyone’s anti-aging regiment.  Here is a link to a recent Swedish study discussing the potential health benefits of omega 3 fatty acids at reducing atherosclerotic plaque.
